Funding Programmes
New Metropolitan Attica S.A. commenced operations in January 2021 with the aim of serving as a development arm for the Region of Attica and its municipalities, as well as for first and second level local government authorities, their bodies and associations.
The Development Organization implements a wide range of projects, studies and programmes of supra-local importance aimed at promoting sustainable development. Through these initiatives, it contributes to enhancing Attica’s development trajectory, protecting the natural environment and improving the quality of life for its citizens by implementing actions and projects that support the broader priorities and strategic objectives of the Region of Attica.
In particular, the Organization has initiated studies and preparatory actions for significant development projects within the 2021–2027 Programming Period. At the same time, it is currently completing additional initiatives, projects and development programmes in cooperation with local government institutions and public administration bodies in Greece and abroad.
