The Development Organization “New Metropolitan Attica S.A.” is implementing an advanced Destination Management System (DMS) for the Region of Attica, aiming to define, manage and showcase the region’s rich tourism and cultural assets.

The system provides citizens and visitors with easy access to e-tourism services, as well as information on cultural events, thematic routes and available services, enhancing Attica’s visibility as a destination while supporting the sustainable development of tourism.

By leveraging modern digital technologies, the DMS enables users to explore the destination while strengthening collaboration between the public and private sectors. At the same time, it provides strategic insights and data to support decision-making and promotes best practices in sustainability and the digital transformation of tourism services and products.

Through this system, the Region of Attica promotes equal access to information and services for all users, facilitating the promotion and management of its holistic tourism product in a modern, user-friendly and integrated way.

Key Objectives and Functions:

• Centralized collection and presentation of tourism and cultural information across the Region of Attica.
• Provision of integrated digital services for citizens and visitors, free of charge and without commercial advertising.
• Support for tourism stakeholders through targeted data and analytics to improve service management and planning.
• Promotion of equal access to information for priority populations in vulnerable situations.
• Strengthening sustainable destination management, with a focus on green policies and the digital transformation of tourism products.

The implementation of the DMS is expected to generate significant benefits for citizens, visitors and tourism stakeholders by improving access to information, enhancing the user experience of services and strengthening the visibility and competitiveness of Attica as a destination. At the same time, it supports sustainable development and fosters collaboration among all involved stakeholders.

The project titled “Development and Operation of an Advanced Destination Management System (DMS) in the Region of Attica” (OPS Code 6007486) is co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) under the Priority “Strengthening the competitiveness and outward orientation of the regional economy through the promotion of innovative and smart economic and digital transformation” of the Attica 2021–2027 Programme.
