A dynamic presence by the Region of Attica’s DMMO at the premier yachting event.
New Metropolitan Attica SA participated with notable success in the East Med Yacht Show 2025, the leading exhibition of professional leisure yachts, held in the picturesque town of Poros from April 29 to May 2.
The focal point of the organization’s participation was the pavilion of the Destination Management and Marketing Organization (DMMO) of the Region of Attica, designed to showcase the region’s vast potential in maritime tourism and the yachting industry. The presentation emphasized modern infrastructure, high-level service provision and the unique natural beauty of Attica—establishing it as a high-value destination for both visitors and investors.
Throughout the event, there was a considerable amount of networking among yachting professionals, tourism market representatives and members of the business community. Mr. Dimitris Fragkakis, President of New Metropolitan Attica SA, stated: “The Region of Attica is investing in the sustainable development of maritime tourism, improving infrastructure and protecting the marine environment—creating a comprehensive, high-quality tourism product with international appeal.”.
A standout of the event was the special session organized by the Athens-Attica & Argosaronic Hotel Association on “New Technologies in Hospitality and Tourism.” The panel addressed local issues and sector trends with hoteliers, industry bodies and media representatives. Mr. Fragkakis highlighted the role of Attica’s islands as key drivers of a tourism product with high added value, aligning this with the evolving expectations of modern travelers.
The East Med Yacht Show 2025 hosted 106 crewed vessels (catamarans, motor yachts, sailing yachts), 21 exhibitor and sponsor booths, 265 brokers from 28 countries and more than 2,500 visitors, once again confirming its international appeal and decisive role in shaping the trends of maritime tourism.
