Development of a Job Market Needs Diagnosis and Skills Development Mechanism in the Region of Attica
Implementation of the project “Job Market Needs Diagnosis Mechanism – Skills Upgrading of the Human Resources in the Region of Attica” (MIS Code: 6026397), funded under the Attica 2021–2027 Programme.
"New Metropolitan Attica S.A." is implementing the project for the development and operation of an integrated mechanism for monitoring job market needs and upgrading the skills of the human resources in the Region of Attica.
Through this mechanism, job market trends, in-demand skills and professional specializations will be systematically monitored, enabling the design of targeted policies, actions and pilot training programmes that respond to the real needs of businesses and employees.
The project is structured around three main pillars of action:
- Labour Market Needs Diagnosis Mechanism
- Human Resources Skills Development
- Dissemination, Networking and Public Awareness
The project aims to strengthen the competitiveness of the human resources of the Region of Attica, enhance the connection between education and job market needs and establish a sustainable skills development ecosystem, with particular emphasis on the challenges of the digital and green economy.
More specifically, the project seeks to achieve the following:
- Analysis and projection of job market needs. Establishment of an innovative regional mechanism that will gather and analyse data in order to identify continuously evolving skill requirements.
- Strengthening human resources. Provision of strategically important skills fully aligned with the priorities of STEP.
- Development of targeted information programmes. Design of awareness and information initiatives that respond to the real needs of the job market.
- Building bridges between the job market, educational institutions and businesses. Fostering partnerships and networks that facilitate the connection between employees, businesses and academic institutions.
- Enhancing mobility and employability. Development of specialised career guidance tools that support the professional development of the workforce within the job market.
