Giorgos Patoulis: “A valuable tool for the developmental restart of Attica”

Upon the founding of the Regional Development Organization, under the name “New Metropolitan Attica SA”, the Regional Governor of Attica Giorgos Patoulis stated the following: 

“The Region of Attica, utilizing the new legal framework, have established the organization, New Metropolitan Attica SA”.

The establishment of the Development Organization was supported by a strong majority in the Regional Council of Attica, while our proposal has met with the approval of the Attica Regional Development Fund and the City of Athens through their participation as minority shareholders.

With “New Metropolitan Attica SA”, the Region and its Municipalities have a tool at their disposal to actualize the developmental restart of Attica.

At a time like this, full of challenges and uncertainty, the Development Organization aspires to become a reference point, supporting the Region and its Municipalities in initiating developmental interventions, the support of entrepreneurship and innovation, the maturation of infrastructure projects and the implementation of policies of sustainable development and social cohesion.

With transparency and effectiveness, and in constant collaboration with the Municipalities and other stakeholders, we will intensify and expedite the effort for a productive, socio-economic, environmental and cultural reconstruction and revitalization of Attica and its regions.
