Study for the Construction of Marathona - Oropo Coastal Road
A Landmark Recovery and Development Project for Northeastern Attica
The Development Organization undertakes, on behalf of the Region of Attica and with funding from the Region, the “Construction Study of the Marathon – Oropos Coastal Road”.
The construction of this road is considered a landmark project for the recovery and development of Northeastern Attica. It will serve all adjacent settlements and constitute a continuation of the coastal road network that links the northeastern coastal areas of Attica—from Skala Oropou to the settlement of Agia Marina. Along with the wider road network, it will improve access to tourist and archaeological destinations and, particularly during the summer months, accommodate the large number of holidaymakers who maintain secondary residences in the area and in the coastal settlements along the Euboean Gulf.
Within the scope of the project deliverables, the following are included:
- Provision of services for conducting the tender process,
- Assignment of the study,
- Supervision, review and approval of the study and its related tender documents,
- Preparation of traffic studies and all necessary supporting studies for the design of an interurban road connecting the Municipality of Marathon with the Municipality of Oropos in Eastern Attica.
The project is structured along the following main phases:
- Planning and Preparation of the Public Contract File
- Preliminary Study
- Conceptual Design
- Final Design – Tender Documents and Health & Safety Plan (HSP) – File for Health & Safety (FHS)
This study is part of the Action titled “Support Studies for the Region of Attica for the Specification of Development Priorities and Targeted Actions during the Programming Period 2021–2027” (Operational Programme Code: OPS 5145430).
