Cadastral and Urban Planning Study for Area P.E.6 (Cemetery Zone) of the Municipality of Chalandri

New Metropolitan Attica S.A. is undertaking the preparation of a cadastral and urban planning study for the area surrounding the cemetery, through the Programmatic Agreement “Cadastral Mapping, Urban Planning and Implementation Act for Area P.E.6 – Cemetery, Municipality of Chalandri”, signed with the Municipality of Chalandri.

It is noted that the area surrounding the cemetery (covering approximately 400 stremmata, or 40 hectares) lies outside the approved city plan, causing significant operational challenges such as the inability to connect to utility networks, uncontrolled stormwater runoff, illegal dumping of debris and long-term restrictions on private property development. The study aims to address these issues by supporting the urban organization of the area and by enabling the necessary urban planning regulations that will designate land for critical Urban Utility Infrastructure as well as a Production Activities Zone.

The specific deliverables of the project will be submitted in phases and include:

• Cadastral mapping of the study area, i.e., detailed documentation and surveying of the “Cemetery” area within the 6th Urban Planning Unit of the Municipality of Chalandri,
• Urban planning study for the designated area,
• Action of implementation for the planning zone.

The project is expected to be completed within a timeframe of 42 months.
