Implementation of Subproject 3, “Provision of consultancy support services for the study on the specialisation of priorities for entrepreneurship and extroversion,” under the Action “Support Studies for the Region of Attica for the Specialisation of Development Priorities and Specific Actions during the 2021–2027 Programming Period” (OPS Code: 5145430)

The Local Government Development Organization “New Metropolitan Attica S.A.”, in its capacity as scientific and technical advisor to the Region of Attica, is undertaking the implementation of this study for the Region of Attica and the Special Managing Authority of the Region of Attica (EYDEP), under the Action funded by the Operational Programme “Attica 2014–2020”, Priority Axis “Technical Assistance for Implementation (ERDF),” co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).

The specialisation of priorities for entrepreneurship and extroversion in the Region of Attica is the main subject of this study, being implemented by New Metropolitan Attica S.A.

The study is structured around four axes:

  • Assessment of the current situation regarding the entrepreneurial environment, business development and extroversion in the Region of Attica.
  • Mapping of the current state of existing mechanisms, structures, policies and intervention/support tools for entrepreneurship and extroversion in the Region of Attica.
  • Specialisation of strategic objectives and priorities of the Region of Attica for entrepreneurship and extroversion in the context of the 2021–2027 Programming Period.
  • Formulation of an integrated intervention proposal by the Region of Attica for supporting entrepreneurship and extroversion through a comprehensive mechanism, including the development of a roadmap for its implementation.

The study will provide the necessary data to document the current entrepreneurial environment in the Region of Attica, analyse the dynamics of key sectors and areas of activity, identify challenges and opportunities, and map and analyse the existing support mechanisms and frameworks. It will define the strategic objectives and priorities of the Region for business development and extroversion. Finally, a roadmap will be developed for the establishment and operation of a support mechanism for entrepreneurship and extroversion in the Region of Attica, which will include: (a) a business plan, (b) a financial plan, detailing the costs required for the foundation, installation and productive operation of the center, and (c) a networking and cooperation plan with other institutions involved in policy development and implementation for entrepreneurship, as well as with production and business stakeholders, the research and academic community, etc.
