New Metropolitan Attica S.A. undertakes the project: “Preparation of Studies on Critical Infrastructure of the Municipality of Mykonos”.

The Development Organization has undertaken the preparation of the relevant studies through a Programmatic Agreement signed with the Municipality of Mykonos.

The scope of the Agreement includes the implementation of studies, briefly described as follows:

1. Mapping of the area in order to update the base layers of the urban implementation plan.
2. Study for the redesign of the traffic connection between the New Port of Mykonos and the Turlos – Agios Ioannis Provincial Road.
3. Feasibility assessment for the development of Tourist Port infrastructure in Mykonos.

More specifically, the physical scope of the project includes the updating of the topographic diagrams for the urban expansion plan of the Chora, main town, of Mykonos, covering an area of approximately 230 stremmata (23 hectares). It also includes the design study for the construction of a roundabout to improve infrastructure and ensure safer and faster transit along the existing road network, particularly in the section connecting the New Port of Mykonos with the Turlos – Agios Ioannis Provincial Road. Finally, the study will explore the feasibility of developing new Tourist Port infrastructure.

The total estimated duration for the completion of the project is 15 months.
